Spearfishing

ELSE CODED spearfishing is terrain-led, not depth-led. Reef, coastal, offshore, wreck, and night sessions only when legal and contextually required. We do not work with beginner or intermediate profiles. Safety and respect are non-negotiable. We hunt for food or to support local needs, not for trophies or tables. Large breeders are preserved as the backbone of balance. Keywords: spearfishing, reef, offshore spearfishing, wreck, bivouac, ethics, safety, tropics, ELSE CODED. Approach

At ELSE CODED, spearfishing is not about numbers.

Depth is only a parameter.

Reef. Coastal. Offshore. A demanding practice, driven by field reading, ethics and safety.

Practices

We practice reef spearfishing, coastal spearfishing, slow ambush approaches at first light, as well as offshore spearfishing, wreck dives, and night spearfishing when permitted and when the context requires it, particularly during bivouac expeditions.

These practices are part of our experience.

Our approach relies on reading the environment, understanding species behavior, currents, and surroundings. Not on electronics, nor on performance.

Ethics

We do not spearfish to accumulate catches. We spearfish to feed ourselves, or to help local communities feed themselves.

Trophies are not the goal. Display boards even less. Large breeders are preserved, as they are the true guarantors of balance.

At ELSE CODED, we oppose tank-assisted spearfishing, even where it is legally permitted. This practice contradicts our vision, our respect for the environment, and the ethics we stand for.

Positioning: private expeditions, no mass tourism, no tank-assisted spearfishing, priority on safety and respect for the environment.

Standards

Spearfishing is a committed practice, even more so in tropical environments, where deep knowledge of the biotope, wildlife, and local regulations is essential.

For this reason, we only operate with experienced, autonomous spearfishers.

Profiles

Unlike exotic fishing, we work exclusively with autonomous and experienced practitioners.

This choice is not a stance. It is a matter of safety, respect for the environment, and standards.
