Origins and trajectory
What you will read here is not a promise. It is a way of positioning ourselves.
We are originally from the Mediterranean coast in France. We have been traveling the world for more than twenty years.
Between remote bivouacs and exceptional places, committed fishing and rare moments, we have always moved outside standard formats.
This trajectory has forged a strong level of expectation. This is precisely why ELSE CODED exists.
Crowds, silence and space
Crowds, organized excursions and standardized experiences are not part of our world.
Preserving space, silence and intimacy is a starting condition.
Practice, terrain and immersion
Fishing and spearfishing have been part of our lives from the very beginning. So have surfing, wakeboarding and almost anything that glides, sails or happens on or under the water. It is not a side activity. It is a way of life.
We make fire with almost nothing, even in the rain, even with eighty percent humidity. The tropics have been our playground since childhood. We enjoy sleeping on the beach, in the jungle, far from everything. We immerse ourselves where the living world is still largely intact.
We like to play with sharks. To dance with mantas. Sometimes dolphins come to visit. Sometimes we cross paths with whales.
But always in search of real interactions.
Without noise.
Without crowds.
Without Instagram.
Even far from everything, we remain who we are: gastronomes, self-reliant, epicurean.
When a glass is filled, it is for very good drinks. We cook for pleasure, we know the good tables around our routes, and we travel with our olive oil as we do with our culture of good living.
Balance between comfort, bivouac and rhythm
Depending on the moment and the mood, the balance can shift. Two intense bivouac days, then a few days in a discreet beach house, or in a fully serviced high comfort property.
Fishing, gliding and navigation remain accessible, calm and intimate.
We know how to go straight to the right place at the right time. To choose the right boat. The right pace.
Liveaboard catamaran, fast lancha, glassy lagoon or isolated reef. Beach house, hotel, country house or wooden cabin on the sand: we know which ones to choose, and why.
Relationship, selection and mindset
Whether you travel alone, as a couple or with friends, your experience is built with you, according to the reality of the field.
With seriousness, without ever taking ourselves too seriously. Humor, a certain spirit and a touch of piracy are part of the journey.
We prepare each experience as if it were our own. Because we do not know how to do it any other way.
For all these reasons, we do not think in terms of marketing or predefined formats. Everything starts with a conversation, by phone or video, without intermediaries.

Everyone involved on the ground, captains, fishing guides, drivers, local teams, is selected by ELSE CODED according to a single criterion: that they reflect the rigor, reliability and level of service we expect for ourselves when we travel.
